This is what I was planning on doing, any input on how to make it not look like crap? do I just cut it off? Do i heat it up then bend the metal part back?

Step 1: Find stump

Step 2: Drive onto stump

Step 3: Back up off of stump, ensuring the inside lip of your bumper is caught on stump

Step 4: Enjoy your one of-a-kind bumper free truck. It was made by you, a person, using things like wood, therefore it’s artisan!

Step 5: ???

Step 6: Profit

Step 7: Spend profits on four wheelin’ parts

Step 8: Repeat steps 5-7 forever

I typically just grab the trusty Sawzall and go to town. Measure twice, matk it with some masking tape and let er rip!

Nothing a sawzall and paint can’t fix...but I’d say take your time, measure twice, cut once. Paint and sanding materials recommended for a finished appearance.

Just take it off and stick a skidplate under there, like what the border patrol does.

Anything is possible with a welder and some steel. But seriously, either take a sawzall to it or invest in a aftermarket setup. I particularly like ranch hand bumpers for 1/2 domestic iron.

if your talking about the black trim on bottom is should just pop off.

But it looks like whatever you D-rings are attached to is what your issue is. Is that a plow mount? Easiest way for more clearance is to get bigger tires

If you pull off just to plastic it’ll leave weird holes where the lights were. I really just want to avoid getting it caught on shit by the wheel.

I can’t really take off the plow mount, cause it’s welded to the frame, and would cost more than its worth to get it off

yea plow mount is what your hitting on. Upgrade tires size and you will have better clearance
